Coaching FAQ

Overview

Our coaches are role models, teachers and encouragers who focus on the safety of our riders as their first priority. While accidents do happen, the primary role of a coach is to manage risk. All of our coaches are volunteers and no prior coaching experience is necessary. We are always in need of coaches, so please reach out if you are interested in helping!

Licensing

All coaches are required to be licensed before riding with the team, which includes a background check. Three levels of certification are available, each requiring additional levels of training and volunteer hours. Head Coaches and Team Directors are required to hold a Level 3 certification. Ride Leaders should achieve a Level 2 certification and all coaches are required to hold at least a Level 1 certification.
